The Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (Cth) applies across eleven sectors, two of which commonly capture technology operators: data storage or processing, and communications. Operating in a listed sector does not by itself make you a responsible entity — capture turns on whether your specific asset meets the definition in the Act and its instruments. We assess that rather than assuming it.
