AML/CTF Compliance Services
Tranche 2 is in force. Since 1 July 2026, Australian professional services firms providing designated services are AUSTRAC reporting entities. DBA Advisory designs, implements and runs your AML/CTF program — enrolment to first review — on fixed fees.
What are the AML/CTF Tranche 2 obligations?
DBA Advisory provides AML/CTF compliance services to Australian accountants, lawyers, conveyancers and real estate agents captured by Tranche 2 through our DBA/AML service. From 1 July 2026, firms providing designated services must enrol with AUSTRAC, adopt a risk-based AML/CTF program, conduct customer due diligence, monitor transactions on an ongoing basis and report suspicious matters.
AUSTRAC has published starter kits and expects enrolment now — with early enforcement activity already announced (as at August 2026). A starter kit gives you a template. It does not give you a working program. That gap — between documentation and operation — is where firms fail their first review, and it is exactly what DBA Advisory builds.
Built for Australian professional services firms
Accounting practices and tax agents; law firms and conveyancers; real estate agencies; and the advisers who serve them — all in Australia. All AML/CTF program design and implementation sits with DBA Advisory, a single senior-led team doing this work at volume through the Tranche 2 transition.
What do our AML/CTF compliance services include?
Six deliverables that take an Australian firm from newly captured to review-ready — as one program, not six projects.
AUSTRAC Enrolment
Registration completed correctly, first time, with the designated-service analysis documented. The analysis matters as much as the form: it defines which obligations you carry, and it is the first thing a reviewer reads.
Risk Assessment & Program Design
A risk-based AML/CTF program built around your actual services, clients and channels — proportionate to your size and risk, written in language your staff can operate, and defensible line-by-line to AUSTRAC’s expectations.
Customer Due Diligence Systems
Practical CDD and KYC workflows your front office can run inside existing systems, so verification and documentation happen at client intake rather than as a separate compliance chore.
AML/CTF Compliance Services in Australia
Transaction monitoring, suspicious matter escalation and record-keeping delivered as an outsourced compliance operation under SLA, with your compliance officer retaining oversight through real-time KPI reporting.
Training & Governance
Staff training, compliance-officer support and board reporting that stand up to review. Training is logged and refreshed on a cycle, so the “trained workforce” obligation is evidenced — not assumed.
Independent Review Preparation
Evidence, registers and remediation before your program’s first independent evaluation — we prepare the file the reviewer will ask for and close the gaps it exposes.
AML/CTF Compliance Insights
DBA Advisory publishes practical AML/CTF compliance services intelligence on the financial-crime frameworks our clients implement—from AUSTRAC Tranche 2 enrolment and customer due diligence (CDD) workflows to ongoing transaction monitoring and independent review preparation. Every article is dated, author-attributed, jurisdiction-tagged, and reviewed against current AUSTRAC regulator guidance before and after publication.
About AML/CTF Compliance
Direct answers regarding our AML/CTF compliance services, Tranche 2 obligations, AUSTRAC enrolment timelines, independent review preparation, and fixed-fee outsourced compliance operations for Australian professional services practices.
You are likely a reporting entity if you provide designated services — assisting with property transactions, managing client money, creating or managing companies and trusts, or acting as a nominee — as an Australian accountant, lawyer, conveyancer or real estate agent. The test is the service, not the job title. We confirm your position as the first step of every engagement.
No. Tranche 2 is Australian law administered by AUSTRAC and applies to designated services provided in Australia. Firms in other jurisdictions are subject to their own financial-crime regimes, with different regulators, different scope and different reporting mechanics. DBA Advisory implements compliance operations internationally under the client’s local regime — see our global business services.
A documented, risk-based program covering your money-laundering and terrorism-financing risk assessment; customer due diligence and verification; ongoing monitoring; suspicious matter and threshold reporting; record-keeping; staff training; and independent review arrangements — proportionate to your firm’s size and risk. AUSTRAC expects the program to demonstrably operate, not merely exist.
Enrol now. The regime commenced 1 July 2026, AUSTRAC is actively directing newly captured firms to enrol, and enforcement outcomes have already been announced (as at August 2026). Late enrolment compounds risk; we can typically complete enrolment and a compliant interim program within weeks of engagement.
The starter kit is a sound starting document, but AUSTRAC expects a program tailored to your risks and actually operating — evidenced CDD, monitoring and training. Firms that stop at the template carry the highest first-review risk, because the reviewer tests operation, not paperwork.
DBA Advisory works on fixed fees scoped to your firm’s size and risk profile — program build as a defined project, ongoing compliance operations as a fixed monthly service. You’ll know the full cost before you commit, and the fee only changes when the agreed scope does.
Yes. Beyond program design, we operate CDD, monitoring, reporting and record-keeping as an outsourced function under SLA — with your compliance officer retaining oversight through real-time KPI reporting. The obligations remain the firm’s; the execution becomes systematised, evidenced and reviewable.
First-year execution, not another template
The Australian firms that clear their first independent review will be the ones whose programs actually run. Enrolment, program, operation, evidence — fixed-fee, senior-led, done.
