MIGRATION AGENT ASSISTANT (AU)

We are seeking a Migration Agent Assistant who is a great communicator. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in handling tasks, even when deadlines are tight. Moreover, they must have a ‘can-do’ attitude, especially when managing conflicts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Registered Migration Agents with inquiries, collection of documents, drafting, data checking, and preparation of visa applications.
  • Prepare Skills Assessments, Sponsorship, Nomination, and Visa applications.
  • Carry out legal research using available sources when required.
  • General clerical duties, such as collecting, scanning, and electronic filing of documents.
  • Ensuring client spreadsheets and information/records are kept up-to-date and accurate by maintaining client folder as per compliance standards.
  • Liaise with clients over the phone, email and in-person, assist with their enquiries and provide updates on their applications.
  • Screen phone calls, book enquiries, and appointments for existing and new clients.
  • Liaise with external organisations/stakeholders as and when required.
  • Draft and manage emails.
  • Assist the Registered Migration Agent with follow-ups of action items.
  • Marketing support—tag clients, maintain client lists, bulk mail outs.
  • Reception duties as and when required.
  • Effectively coordinate and manage the day-to-day work.
  • Attend any training sessions provided by the RMA or the organisation to brush up on job skills.
  • Acknowledge internal communication in a timely manner.
  • High caliber work ethic and customer service while performing the above tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree, of any course.
  • At least 1 year’s experience in Migration related work is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong technical knowledge with respect to the current Australian immigration laws and policies.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and programs such as Microsoft Office, cloud platforms, etc. 
  • Must work with accuracy, have great attention to detail even while under pressure, and results driven.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • An energetic and creative personality, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team but also autonomously cater to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities and client expectations.
  • Preferably with experience assisting in AU migration (e.g., student, tourist).
  • Willing to be assigned to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
