What was once a framework that captured banks, fintechs, and casinos but not the lawyers, accountants, and real estate agents who facilitated the same transactions is now complete.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a compliance update. The Tranche 2 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austrac.gov.au\/industry-and-business\/about-amlctf-reforms\/about-reforms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reforms<\/a> represent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbaadvisory.com\/insights-aml-ctf-compliance-australia\/\">a structural shift in how Australia regulates professional services<\/a> \u2014 and for the vast majority of affected businesses, the preparation required is far more substantial than they currently appreciate.<\/p>\n<p>Who is captured: Accountants, lawyers, real estate agents, trust and company service providers, and dealers in precious metals become designated reporting entities.
